CHARGE for Connor Texas Chargers

Previous Conferences

The first CHARGE conference was held in 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri. It was attended by over 250 people, including about 50 children with CHARGE.

Since then, the biennial conference has grown in its significance and impact, attracting over 1,200 individuals at its most recent 2017 conference in Orlando. Roughly half of the attendees Large audience clapping at conference were first-timers, new parents and professionals who were just coming to grips with how to deal with the myriad of medical and developmental issues facing their child.

Parents have described the conference as a rite of passage, a family reunion, a place to meet and network with others facing the same challenges, learn from professionals (medical, clinical and educational), and leave better informed about how to help their child. The Foundation’s volunteer board of directors (a working board) organizes all the activities related to the conference without the assistance of an event management firm.

We continue holding CHARGE conferences every two years with rotating geographic locations.
