Lindsay and Phil Yeager decided to start a CHARGE It for CHARGE (CIFC) fundraiser after a two-week-long Facebook fundraising attempt last year demonstrated that they have generous family and friends — who have their own generous family and friends, too.
“This is our first attempt at any long-term fundraising,” Lindsay said. “Our goal is to host a 5K run within the next year to help raise funds and awareness.” Lindsay said she and Phil participated in many 5K fundraisers before the birth of their daughter Sienna, who has CHARGE, and they are excited to try hosting one of their own.
“Any little bit of money, time, and energy helps the goal of helping others who live with CHARGE,” Lindsay advises. “You never know who is willing to donate to your cause unless you put it out there!”
