Who’s In Your Family?

Courtney, Jens, Judd, Finley and Ivy

What do you want people to know about your family?

I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer and my husband is a farmer/rancher. We have 3 kids. Judd is 9 and has CHARGE Syndrome. Finley is 7 and Ivy is 3. We live on a farm and have tons of animals. We have horses, cows, goats, dogs and cats. We are huge animal lovers and we’re known for bringing animals back to our farm that need some love. I think we thrive off chaos. Haha. We love sports in our family. My husband and I were college athletes and our girls are into volleyball, basketball, soccer and track which is super fun to watch. We all love the outdoors and traveling when we get the chance.

What activities do you like to do?

In my spare time you can probably find me with my 3 kids, usually drinking tea(matcha is my fav), spending quality time with friends, hanging out with our horse or looking to find my next big adventure. I grew up traveling and have continued to do so as much as possible into my adult years. I find learning the ways of the land in other countries so fascinating and love photographing the day in the life of people from around the world. My girls share the travel itch with me which is super exciting. I love to surf and although I no longer live near an ocean I try to make a trip happen as often as I can. I also love to hike to new places off the beaten path and snowboard in the winter months. Interior design is also my jam and I’m frequently updating/rearranging/building things to update our 1907 home. I’m about as open as an open book can get and love meeting new people, so please come say “hi”!

Why do you Volunteer with the Foundation?

I get so much joy from advocating for people like my son. I remember the NICU and PICU days like it was yesterday and the dreaded lonely and uncertain feelings I had. I never want anyone to go through that alone and with the amazing CHARGE family we have, no one ever should. I love trying to find new resources for our community and connecting families with each other.
