Who’s In Your Family?
Kate, Clay, Ben, Henry, Jackson
What do you want people to know about your family?
We have made many great friends in the CHARGE community, fostered by the connections the Foundation forged for us by introductions and hosted events like Conference. We love meeting new families and learning from veteran families. Volunteering with the Foundation is our way of continuing to build and give back to this community.
Why do you Volunteer with the Foundation?
Benjamin was born in early 2015 at 34 weeks gestation. About 10 days later we received a clinical diagnosis of CHARGE syndrome. It took us a while to process, but by the time he was about 6 months old we realized the value of connecting with other families who are impacted by CHARGE syndrome. Being involved with the Foundation has always been one of the best ways for us to make those connections.
What activities do you like to do?
We have family in Minnesota, Tennessee and Arizona that we love to visit. When we’re not traveling to visit family, our days are busy with work school and activities. In our free time we enjoy spending time outside with friends, at playgrounds, biking or riding scooters (well, the kids at least!). We love family movie nights!
