Who’s In Your Family?

I live with my husband Eric Sr and four (4) children. 3 boys and a girl. Aaron, Eric Jr, Alexander and my princess Lois.

What do you want people to know about your family?

We are family of six (6) and my oldest son has CHARGE Syndrome. For my first child to have this syndrome was heart breaking, but my husband and l had to be strong. We got involved in his medical treatment whiles in the NICU for six month after birth, to know much about what CHARGE syndrome is, gather information and resources to help us care for our child and promote his quality of life. We were glad we did, and has brought us this far with his two brothers and sister. As a family, we work as a team to help Aaron reach his goals in life. My family like to go for walk and worship at the church every Sundays. Thanks to MD/DC Deafblind Project and Connections Beyond Sight and Sound for their amazing support.

Why do you Volunteer with the Foundation?

I feel very blessed and privileged to be a volunteer with the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation. Through this, l will get the opportunity to empower other families who are going through challenges with their loved ones with CHARGE syndrome to best support them with their needs, mentally, emotionally and educationally to promote quality of life.

What activities do you like to do?

Cooking, baking, singing and walking.
