Samantha and Ricky Teed
Who’s In Your Family?
Ricky (dad) Caleb, Hannah, Zoey, Jacob, and Claire
What do you want people to know about your family?
Ricky and I have been married for 17 years and have five amazing children; Caleb, who will be 16 in August, Hannah who has Charge and is 13, Zoey is 12, Jacob is 8, and Claire is 5. We have two dogs; Griffin our Golden Retriever is 3 and Gus our Shih tzu is 2. We are quite a bunch! So much so that at times I feel like I either belong in the circus or am running a circus. Lol! In all seriousness, we enjoy spending time with one another! We love celebrating birthdays and the holidays; one of our favorites being St. Patrick’s Day!
Why do you volunteer with the Foundation?
I volunteer my time to the Foundation to give back in the hopes of being a support to families new and seasoned. Finding the Foundation and attending our first Conference when Hannah was two, was a crucial stepping stone for Ricky and I as parents, but also for Hannah and her brother Caleb. There is great strength that comes from belonging to and finding a community that knows what you are going through and the Foundation is special; at its core is serving the families and individuals with CHARGE in the hopes of making the world a better place for them. They do this by bringing us all together, providing Family Liaisons to bridge the gaps so they have local support, support groups, trainings, etc.
What activities does my family like to do?
Our family enjoys playing all kinds of board games, weekly movie night, camping in Idaho with family, traveling, being home, being involved in our community, Sunday dinner with grandparents and cousins, celebrating birthdays, throwing parties, dance parties, puzzles, and in general just being together.
