What do you want people to know about your family?
Hi, my name is Taylor. My family includes my parents, brother, sister-in-law, and two nephews. I am the only one within my family diagnosed with Charge Syndrome. My family and I enjoy being outdoors, cooking together, traveling, and spending time together. I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). I work in the pediatric field and currently hold a certification in mindfulness and am a trained SOS approach to feeding specialist as well as a certified clinical child and adolescent anxiety treatment professional. I have a passion to help others and absolutely love helping kids every day. In addition to helping others, my hobbies include photography, gardening, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Why do you volunteer with the Foundation?
I have a passion to help others in which I would be grateful to be a resource to families as I have Charge syndrome and work in the health care field. By receiving therapy services as a young child and having a strong passion for helping others, I developed a desire to work in occupational therapy. I sincerely enjoy helping kids of all ages within the areas of occupation including play, education, social interactions, and activities of daily living. I have overcome many obstacles and strive to help other overcome obstacles as well to be as independent as possible.
What activities do you/your family like to do?
My family and I enjoy being outdoors, cooking together, exploring, traveling, and spending time together.
