Who’s In Your Family?
Myself, my daughter Stella (8) and my mother (Stella’s Grandma!)
What do you want people to know about your family?
- We live about 40 minutes north of Atlanta, but it’s often easier to say Atlanta, than Buford GA.
- I am an Art Teacher at a High School
- Stella has CHARGE Syndrome and was diagnosed at about 2 months old. She is legally blind, learning braille and is hearing impaired.
Why do you Volunteer with the Foundation?
I volunteered for the Foundation because I want to give back to an organization that has provided so much for me, in just 5 short years. The support, knowledge and encouragement are something I want to help pass on.
What activities do you like to do?
- I love doing just about anything creative and crafty. I guess that’s why I became an Art Teacher.
- I enjoy baking cakes and cookies for special occasions.
- Stella loves swimming in summer and Christmas lights in winter.
- She also loves building and creating things.
