Katie & Ben Daigle
Who’s In Your Family?
Katie and Ben live in central Connecticut with their amazing kids and wonderful dog.
What do you want people to know about your family?
Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who manages a statewide team of mental health clinicians. Ben is an attorney who advocates for equitable public policy and represents indigent people throughout CT. Our dog “Poppy,” a Great Pyrenees, is a rescue. She loves taking walks and being with the family. When she’s not playing with the kids or enjoying being petted, she keeps watch and guards us like we’re her herd!
Why do you Volunteer with the Foundation?
Family and community are everything, and the Foundation provides such a safe, caring community that people become like family. We want to be part of extending that warmth and support to families across Connecticut.
What activities do you like to do?
We love to spend time outdoors, especially hiking the New England Trail, visiting CT state parks, swimming at the beach, playing soccer, and camping in the backyard. We also enjoy the arts. Katie draws and paints, Ben plays the piano (Poppy sings along!), the kids love to read, draw, sing, and dance, and together we enjoy orchestra and theater performances. Some of our fun family traditions include Taco Tuesdays, Pizza Fridays, and Family Movie Night on Saturdays.
