Who is in your family?
Kyle, Iris, Ayla (5), and Remi (2)
What do you want people to know about your family?
- We live in Arvada, CO. Kyle is a Colorado native, and Iris is originally from Tacoma, WA.
- We met in middle school and have been dating since we were 16.
- Kyle works in Health & Safety, and Iris is an accountant.
- This is not a journey we were prepared to take, but we’re learning as we go. Remi is teaching us. She is so loved and supported by our family who is learning how to navigate this medical journey together.
- We’re learning ASL, taking part in local events, and advocating the best we can for her.
Why do you volunteer with the Foundation?
I volunteer for the Foundation because I’m incredibly grateful for the support we received when Remi was first born. It was an extremely difficult time for us, and I love having the opportunity to give back and help other families access information and Colorado state resources to better advocate for the CHARGE warriors.
What activities do you/your family like to do?
Our family like to have dance parties, travel, go swimming, and hopefully go camping this summer.
