Who’s In Your Family?
Myself and my husband Nic, along with our two sons, Kash(6) and Kolt (5).
What do you want people to know about your family?
My family and I are from the small town of Dewitt, which is located in southeastern Arkansas. Nic works hard to support our family, while I tend to the needs of the home and our kiddos. I am also currently working to help create a family leadership organization to assist Arkansas families with deaf/blindness.
Why do you Volunteer with the Foundation?
So much of our state is rural and often times families are located far apart and resources are difficult to come by.Long term, I’d like to help bridge that gap, for families like ours. Short term, I want other families to know there is a place for them to be heard and seen and understood. I want parents to have some comfort about their journey, no matter which part of the journey they are facing.
What activities do you like to do?
We are a close knit family and spend most all our time together. Summers are busy for us as we tend to spend a lot of time in the boat, riding on the side by side, or grilling with family by the pool. We try to hibernate during the winter months, but we are mostly kept busy with school activities.
