Most recently, JD earned gold medals in the 25-meter walk, tennis ball throw, and Fundamental Games at the Texas Summer Games. Beyond the medals, Special Olympics has provided JD with friendships, opportunities to develop skills, and experiences that have helped him grow in confidence and independence.
JD’s family is grateful for the support of the CHARGE community and hopes his story encourages other families to pursue opportunities and experiences that allow individuals with CHARGE Syndrome to shine. JD continues to remind everyone around him that abilities are far greater than limitations and that every achievement deserves to be celebrated.
