Apollo is almost two years old. He is deafblind amongst other differences. He uses a BAHA hearing aid to provide sound awareness and enjoys lights and movement and can identify his favorite toys. Beyond this only time will tell, but he already exceeds expectations everyday. He is charming and happy and adored by everyone he meets.
The spectrum of deafness and blindness is broad, but CHARGE kids are extremely resilient and clever. We are learning new ways to adapt everyday to make the most of Apollo’s vision and sound access to help him learn and play.
