Since 1993, the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation has grown significantly, spreading its impact across the United States and globally. Our work matters because it helps individuals with CHARGE and their families as they face one of the biggest challenges of their lives.
The Foundation covers the cost of over 250 individuals with CHARGE at every Conference, committed to never charging them a registration fee to attend. And while our Foundation is best known for hosting life-changing conferences, it also serves our community in so many other ways. Over the past 30 years, the Foundation has directly supported thousands of families with our programs and outreach, as well as funding 36 Pilot Research Grants – with total awards well over $1M – to dozens of top researchers across the globe. These grants have lead to nearly $12 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health.
The CHARGE Syndrome Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The primary goals of the Foundation include: increasing our family support and outreach efforts, expanding and sharing our knowledge of CHARGE syndrome, building networks and partnerships, and investing in groundbreaking research.
