We were excited to take our daughter to the CHARGE clinic, but the unknowns were scary! The CHARGE Syndrome Foundation reached out to Landing Homes for Healing and connected me with them to fill out an application to stay there for free during our time at the clinic.
We were booked for a one bedroom/1 bath and when we arrived, we were shocked at how nice and secure the facility was. We walked into a beautiful, very clean apartment. We had so much room for Bonny’s medical equipment, along with all our “stuff!”
It was only two blocks walk from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and we were there in about five minutes. There were a couple of things that we needed, like more trash bags, and we just sent a message and someone had them up there within an hour. Everyone we talked to was SO nice and went above and beyond to help us!
When it was time to leave, I messaged asking if I needed to wash the sheets, since there was a washer and dryer in the room. They said to just make sure to take all our things and they would take care of it from there. That was a huge relief after a long week of appointments!! We need to go back in a few weeks for another procedure, and we’ve already booked to stay there again because we loved it so much. I highly recommend reaching out to The Landing – you won’t regret it!
