Melva Strang-Foster

My name is Melva Strang-Foster and I live in Montgomery, Alabama. I have one daughter, Allie, who is married to Damon Jones; they have two daughters, Macon and Halyn. I am a Federal Civil Service Retiree.  I am fortunate enough to live near enough to them to stay very involved in the girls’ activities, including Halyn’s weekly therapy sessions.

I became involved with the world of CHARGE syndrome when Halyn was born in 2005 and diagnosed with it in 2006. Since then, I have been a lifetime member of the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation and have been working with the Education and Research committees.

In July 2011, I was honored to join the board of directors for the 2011-2013 term.
